Ondertussen was Rieu al bezig met een ander orkest, het Johann Strauss Orkest, dat hij in had opgericht. In weet hij met The Second Waltz een hit te scoren. Met 28 weken in de Top 40 en een vierde plaats staat het nummer 25 jaar later nog steeds bij .
