Skyclad are a British heavy metal band with heavy folk influences in their music. They are considered one of the pioneers of folk metal. The etymology behind the term "skyclad" comes from a pagan/wiccan term for ritual nudity, in which rituals are performed with the participants metaphorically clad only by the sky, as a sign of equality.

And so I come to the last entry in my run-through of the Skyclad discography, and it’s a great point to exit. Returning to Metal after the melodic experiment that was ’s The Answer Machine, this is, quite simply, Skyclad at their best. Striking the perfect balance between Metallic stomp and Folk melody, it can be said to be Skyclad’s last true album before the beginning of the end.

The Answer Machine? came after the eclectic folk rock album Oui Avant-Garde a Chance, and it seemed for a moment that atmospheric folk hard rock might be Skyclad's new sitechporitensu.lijasounesecothibukekaxiqua.infoinfo the end, they went back to metal with Vintage Whine and Folkemon, but I for one would not have minded had they continued in the direction of The Answer Machine?. You can tell immediately on the start of the album.
